不良研究所 Sydney announces new CEO

The Archbishop of Sydney, Most Rev. Anthony Fisher OP and the Board of 不良研究所 Sydney are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Alastair McGibbon as the new CEO of 不良研究所 Sydney.

Mr McGibbon has over 25 years鈥 experience working in the banking and finance industry, concentrating in the last five years on the not-for-profit and social services sectors, including a number of Catholic agencies.

Archbishop Fisher said he was delighted that Mr McGibbon was joining 不良研究所.聽

鈥淎lastair brings great experience, a deep Catholic faith and a genuine commitment to wanting to help all those in need,鈥 Archbishop Fisher said.

鈥湶涣佳芯克 plays a vital role in assisting those in the community who are doing it tough, and the practical support they provide to people in their time of need has been tremendous - especially during the last two years of the pandemic. I want to pay tribute to Mark Phillips for his leadership as CEO of 不良研究所 over this time and for the job he has done in guiding 不良研究所 through a period of substantial change.鈥

The Chairman of the board of 不良研究所, Mr Richard Haddock, has welcomed the appointment of the new CEO.

鈥淎lastair joins us at a most important time. His commitment to social services, his financial experience in the not-for-profit sector, combined with his collaborative leadership style will ensure we continue to build towards our 10-year picture of success,鈥 Mr Haddock said.

鈥淚鈥檇 like to thank Mark Phillips, our departing CEO, for his service to 不良研究所 over the past five years. His vision, leadership and commitment has ensured that 不良研究所 enlivened its mission and vision through the provision of quality services and support for the whole community.鈥

Mr McGibbon said he is honoured to take up the new appointment.

Mr McGibbon is a member of St Michael鈥檚 Parish Lane Cove. He is married to Gabrielle, with three children, Angus, Ingrid and Benjamin.
